Limanu Cave – is located at
10 km to the north, at the exit of the village with the same
name, on a tributary valley to Mangalia Lake with relatively
steep slopes, from wich, from place to place you can see
horizontal layers of limestone. Limanu Cave is a groundwater
cave that had developed from horizontaly layered limestone, with
a rectangular net of galleries, surprisingly regular and with a
total length of 3400 meters.

City hosts very interesting tourist atractions. One of the
oldest mosques in Romania – Esheman Sultan built in 1525, the
little orthodox wooden church Sf. Mina, built in the style of

Mangalia Lake is on the left
hand side of the road to Mangalia. On the lake, with a surface
of 99 ha, one can see swans, egrets, coots and many other
interesting species of birds, water snakes and turtles. On the
bottom of the swamp there are thermal and sulfurous springs.

Mangalia Troop is located at 3 km north of Mangalia and at 500 m from the Black Sea Shore and it is famous
for the breeding of an exceptional arab stud of Mangalia. Here

Hagieni Forest National Reserve
is on the left hand side on the Mangalia-Albesti road and it is
a lovely natural area because of the landscape diversity, so
different from the one on the coast and the rare fauna which has
found its home here (ponds with aquatic and palustre vegetation,
rocky steppes, limestone coasts and slopes, spinous shrubs and
shadey forests of different essences). The Hagieni forest has a
submediteranian type of vegetation.
